CV Products Will Be Trackside for 6 Auto Races This Weekend

A trifecta of auto races appear on the stock car racing calendar this weekend, with NASCAR teams scattered all around the country, marking the only time this year that each series will assemble in a different state at the same time. In total, there’s a pair of parties at the Poconos, another trio of races in the vowel states (that’s Iowa and Ohio), and a Pro All Stars Series in Virginia.

As we do every week — and as we do so well — we’ll have big semi-trucks full of gear on hand for those racing and for those with pit passes. If you can’t make it out to any of these races, we’ve provided info — where available — on how to watch or listen from home.

Party in the Poconos 400

partypoconosthumb13The Top 10 racers appearing at this week’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race have had mixed results at Pocono, with six of those competitors yet to win at “The Tricky Triangle.” Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch — drivers with differing Pocono successes — also make that list. Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon share a combined seven NASCAR Sprint Cup titles and are the current Wild Card holders as the regular season moves into its second half.

Regan Smith, the Nationwide Series points leader, finds himself on new territory, having never raced at Iowa Speedway. For now, Smith holds a 27-point lead over Sam Hornish Jr.

19th Annual Dirt Late Model Dream

EldoraSpeedwayRacers will be aligned for Saturday night’s heats by their best lap time turned during the multi-car time trials run on both Thursday and Friday. Each night’s qualifying results will also split the field into two groups that will then compete in separate cards of heat races. No matter how you look at it, that’s a lot of stock car racing!

Pocono ARCA 200

poconoarca200The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is headed to the 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle” at Pocono Raceway this weekend for a 200-mile event on Saturday — the seventh of 21 scheduled events for ARCA this year. The green flag will drop at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

PASS Super Late Model 150

South Boston Speedway enjoys a return visit by PASS race crews on Saturday, with the four-race Late Model 150 program getting underway at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Last time around (May 11) Ross Kenseth, son of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Matt Kenseth, scored the win in a 150-lap shootout with the lead swapping hands nine times. Look for the same brand of excitement this Saturday night!

Casey’s General Store 150

NASCAR-KN-Pro-Series-LogoThe first of two combination races this season at Iowa finds the K&N Pro Series East and West teams competing alongside each other for the overall checkered flag and race finish in the combination race format. But they’ll be scored respective to their series when it comes to championship points. The highest-finishing East and West drivers receive a win for their own series — but only the overall race winner gets to celebrate in Iowa Victory Lane. And that driver has represented the East ever since the inaugural event back in 2007!
