We’re happy to report that our Xceldyne Technologies division here at CV Products has been named “Business of the Quarter” by a local workforce development organization that recognizes our efforts to provide work experience and community outreach throughout Davidson County in North Carolina.
Xceldyne was named the top business for the fourth quarter by DavidsonWorks, a partnership of private and public resources delivering workforce development solutions and improvements for individuals and businesses within the county. The organization’s goal is to stimulate economic growth by providing a skilled workforce that exceeds business needs for the foreseeable future.
Criteria for the award were developed by the JobLink Business Solutions Team, which is made up of DavidsonWorks, Davidson County Community College, the NC Division of Employment Security and the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Xceldyne was recognized as a business that acts as an ambassador for other businesses in our area, promoting our experience and success in providing a better outlook for local manufacturers. Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, we demonstrated a commitment to become even more involved with the community through the Chamber of Commerce and sponsorships of lunch and learn events, as well as business roundtable discussions.
In recent months, we’ve also served as a work experience site for a community college student studying administration, and we participated in a customized training program offered through Davidson County Community College. In addition, we worked with DavidsonWorks on its on-the-job training program.
Xceldyne Technologies was also recognized for playing a key role in establishing the Piedmont High Performance Manufacturing Association (HPMA). From serving as a founding member to hosting an HPMA event, we set our sites helping to make our local manufacturing companies competitive in a global market.
Congratulations to everyone in the Xceldyne Technologies division… you should all be proud of your work and our association with the JobLink Business Solutions Team and the recognition of that participation by the good folks over at DavidsonWorks.
