Archives For About CV Products

Whether you’re a weekend wrenchturner or a Daytona 500 racecar driver, you know you can always pick up valuable information about everything from rpms to racing by hanging around the folks who perform these skills on a regular basis. Listen to what’s being said around you while roaming the race pits or when you stop by that four-bay garage down the street from your home.

Facebook-Logo-CV-ProductsWhat you’ll inevitably hear are the shared experiences and the back-and-forth banter that comes from people with a lot of experience about anything having to do with a running engine.

That’s even more evident in today’s world, where social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter brings people with a common interest even closer together. From the racetrack to the garage, we’re constantly sharing our results and working hand-in-hand with others to achieve a common goal or purpose.

And just like you can count on us to stay ahead of the competition when it comes to the latest and greatest products for racecars, you can bet we’re working our way toward the forefront when it comes to imparting knowledge to our fans. Here at CV Products, we know how to throw a party. Fact is, it’s our 25th anniversary this year and we’re going to be partying like it’s 1988. And you’re invited! We’re not talking about a banquet hall and balloons and hors d oeuvres here, although that would be nice.

iStock_000012780074XSmallWhat we’re going to do is share this special silver anniversary celebration with the people who are closest to our hearts outside of our immediate families — and that’s you, our loyal customer. Not only that, but you’re included in a celebration that’s going to last until the end of the year!

If you know anything about CV Products’ reputation, you know we don’t believe in half measures. What you should be doing right now is grabbing a pen and circling the 25th of each month for the rest of 2013. Go ahead, we’ll wait. Done? OK, here’s the deal: Continue reading

There when you want us!

There when you want us!

Earning a reputation as being dependable is a good thing, and we’ve been hearing that praise from customers for nearly three decades here at CV Products. But being both dependable — and immediately accessible — puts our operation on a whole different level.

And when we say accessible, we’re talking about our CV Products trackside program, a mobile store that will be trackside at more than 200 race events this year, with a total of seven of our product-stocked vehicles attending venues across the country.

Whether you’re a race driver, crewmember, chassis builder or engine builder, there’s always a situation at the race track where you find yourself in need of a replacement part or system, whether that be a new alternator mounting bracket, a fuel pump rebuild or an oil pan gasket.

Our rolling big rigs pull into town and set up shop at the auto racetrack, available both in the pits for teams that are racing as well as our customers sitting up in the stands (locations and access vary from week to week). And if you check the CV Products Blog each Wednesday, you’ll find out which racing events we’ll be attending the upcoming weekend.

If your vehicle isn’t quite ready for the racetrack or you’re in need of some professional assistance in selecting a particular engine part, kit or product, visit CV Products’ North Carolina corporate headquarters and main distribution warehouse in Continue reading

The History of CV Products

CV Products —  October 11, 2012 | Category: About CV Products | 1 Comment

CV Everything Racing LogoThere’s a good reason why the sloganEverything Racing” is a registered trademark of CV Products and that’s because our North Carolina-based operation is consistently striving to produce and present the best technology possible to those immersed in the auto racing industry.

After nearly a quarter of a century in business, our service-oriented company continues to develop parts and equipment with both the performance and motor sports industry in mind. With locations in Thomasville, N.C., and Mooresville — about 50 miles to the southwest — CV Products is a privately owned and operated company started in the late 1980s by former stock car driver Clyde Vickers (hence the CV name).

Vickers raced cars in the late 1970s and early 1980s, during which time he often toyed with the notion of starting up a high performance auto racing parts manufacturing company. His thinking was that maybe there was a market out there for quality parts for NASCAR engines. In 1988, Clyde and his wife, Ramona, started buying up racing parts and then selling them to drivers and mechanics.

They operated out of a small 1,200-square-foot building in Highpoint, N.C. with one employee on the payroll. Their son, Brian — later to become a noted NASCAR racer — often rode his bike around the office. But the fledgling operation quickly gained a reputation for dependable service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Today, we’re headquartered in a modern 35,000-square-foot office and warehouse distribution facility in Continue reading
