CV Trackside Supports NHRA, NASCAR, ARCA and Tudor Series All In The Same Weekend

There’s busy, and then there’s BUSY. This weekend, the CV Products Trackside Program will be BUSY supporting four major auto racing series, including NHRA, NASCAR, ARCA and Tudor. From races in North and South Carolina, to ones in California and Ohio, our Trackside crew will have their hands and trailers full. Here’s where we’ll be:

When: Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13
Racetrack: Zmax Dragway — Charlotte, NC
What you need to know: The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series makes its first of two stops at the self-proclaimed “Bellagio of dragstrips” — with the spectacle of four-wide racing in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle. The site, which has hosted an NHRA national event in mid-September since 2008, is famous for its fan amenities and side-by-side dragstrips.

How to watch from home: ESPN2 at 7:30 P.M. (EST)
What you need to know: If there is one thing that has been evident through the first six races of 2014 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, it’s that the future of NASCAR looks bright. At least two Sunoco Rookie of the Year contenders have finished in the top 10 of every race this season. This streak, however, could be threatened tonight in the VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway, a track that is notoriously hard on drivers. For this year’s class of rookie drivers, Darlington stands as the first real challenge on the 2014 schedule as its tight turns and narrow straightaways often see contestants swap paint and collect the famed “Darlington Stripe” by rubbing against the outside wall.

CV Products Will See Trackside Action in Charlotte and Toledo

CMS ContainerThis weekend’s race venues include two races at the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, and the Toledo Speedway in Ohio on Sunday. We’ll be parked in the pits at all three events with race equipment for auto racing teams and attendees with pit pass alike. Things start out hot and heavy tomorrow – Friday, May 17 – with the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in nearly a month. Come out and see the action. And stop by and check out our beautiful tractor-trailers!

Richmond International Heads the List on CV Products’ Trackside Road Trip

ncr_toyotacare250_logo_4cIn Richmond on Friday, Kyle Busch will attempt the rare feat of winning his fourth consecutive race. So far, Sam Ard is the only driver who’s done it — and that was way back in 1983! Meanwhile, Jeffrey Earnhardt (the son of Kerry Earnhardt and grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt), will pilot the No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Friday for 10-time NMPA Most Popular driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. — who just happens to be his uncle.

ncr_toyotaowners_logo_4c_Drivers for Richard Childress Racing have yet to score a top five finish this year, but that could change at RCR-friendly Richmond. Kevin Harvick won at Richmond in a Chevrolet in 2011 — the only non-Toyota victory in the past eight Richmond races. And in last year’s fall Richmond race, both Harvick and Virginia native Jeff Burton scored Top 10 finishes. Meanwhile, Mr. “Win or Go Home,” Kyle Busch, is approaching two impressive laps-led milestones going into Richmond. With three more laps led, he’ll reach 9,000 laps led in the NSCS. And he’s nearing the 25,000 laps-led mark in his NASCAR career. He’s currently at 24,837, needing 163 laps led to reach 25K.

Racing Radios 125 Lap Southern Super Series Late Model Event presented by Schoenfeld Headers

The first Southern Super Series race in Nashville earlier this month was a huge success and Bubba Pollard made history by winning the first Southern Super Series Race event. But a pair of young racers will be out to do damage on Saturday. Look for CV Everywhere: Stops Planned at Six Race Venues This Weekend

That’s right. It’s going to be another very busy race weekend for the CV Products on-the-road crews with participation planned in seven events occurring in six states. We’ll be selling racing equipment and apparel at a bunch of these events, including a pair of races at the Kansas Speedway on Saturday and Sunday. For those on the Left Coast, there’s the Le Mans Series in Long Beach, California, where racers take over the city’s streets in a long-standing competition.

So check out the races below and see if you can pencil one or two for this mid-April weekend. Here’s where we’ll be:

This — the fourth race on the 2013 Camping World Truck Series schedule — was won last year by James Buescher who passed Brad Keselowski for the lead with 11 laps remaining and then held it for his first victory in his 76th truck start. He won three more races during the 2012 season to capture the series championship. In the dozen years this race has taken place in Kansas City, there has been a different winner each year.

The green-flag waving for this weekend’s Sprint Cup Series race begins around 1:15 p.m. (EDST) on Sunday for the 267-lap STP 400 with favorable weather forecast for race day. Jimmie Johnson is the Sprint Cup points leader heading into this weekend, but he’s facing drivers like red hot Kyle Busch and points contenders Greg Biffle and Brad Keselowski, along with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and a host of other win-seekers.

Visual Studio Ultimate Grand Prix of America

A total of 28 entries are expected to do battle in this, the fourth round of the season, including a strong 13-car field in Daytona Prototype, which has seen a tightened championship since the last outing at Barber Motorsports Park earlier this month. Another dozen cars will fight for top honors in GT, including the championship-leading Magnus Racing duo of Andy Lally and John Potter.

What A Weekend – CV Products will be in Four Locations, Including Las Vegas!

We’re making an appearance at five race events this weekend in four different states, including a pair in Las Vegas and at racetracks in North and South Carolina, as well as Alabama. It’s a NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas, highlighted by the opportunity for fans to meet their favorite drivers and enjoy live music and entertainment at the Neon Garage. Races begin with the Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, March 9. And if this is your first NASCAR event, get there early and enjoy the midway, tailgating and other pre-race activities!

The odds makers favor Jimmie Johnson for this Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series in Las Vegas. With a first-place win and a second-place finish in two races, Johnson currently leads the Sprint Cup Standing by eight points. The Kobalt Tools 400 race begins at 3:16 p.m. (ET), but fans have several days beforehand to meet their favorite NASCAR drivers at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) season opens this weekend on an eighth of a mile stretch of the Rockingham Dragway in southeast North Carolina, with pro-modified, pro-nitrous, pro-extreme and extreme-pro stock divisions scheduled both Saturday and Sunday. CV Products will have a trackside vehicle at every ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards

With a slogan that reads “Everything Racing,” it should come as no surprise that CV Products has received a three-year extension of its Professional Race Services (PRS) contract with the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). Our president, Jim Zoretich, just announced the agreement, which now runs through the 2015 racing season.

What this accord means to CV Products is that we’ll be continuing our support of ARCA as a Performance Partner sponsor and — as has been the case for the past three years —we’ll continue to serve as the exclusive trackside sales and service performance parts retailer.

In order to extend our involvement with the ARCA Racing Series through 2015, we’ll be expanding our company’s presence trackside, supporting racers across the country. For example, we’ll have a trackside vehicle at each and every ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and we’ll be enhancing at-track opportunities for ARCA’s Performance Partner Sponsors.
