CV-Products-Happy-HolidaysIt’s been a busy year here at CV Products as we continue to present our performance and motor sports industry vendors and customers with the best technology and the latest — and fastest — parts and equipment available.

We want to wish all of you a happy and healthy Christmas and New Years, and we especially want to thank you for your business in 2012. And while we’re on the topic of the New Year, we’ll be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2013 with plans to expand our trackside support program to racetracks all over the country. With a quarter-century in business under our belts, we’re just getting started.

Meanwhile, we’re taking a short break for the holidays, closing up shop at both our Thomasville, N.C. headquarters and our facilities in nearby Mooresville, N.C., on both Christmas Day (Tuesday, Dec. 25) and New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, Jan. 1).

In addition, we’ll be sending our employees home at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Monday, Dec. 24) and at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (Monday, Dec. 31).

These holiday hours shouldn’t at all put a damper your plans to gobble up great deals on high performance auto racing parts and accessories. We’re open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.cvproducts.com for your shopping convenience. And you can always connect with us on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.

Season’s Greetings!

We’re happy to report that our Xceldyne Technologies division here at CV Products has been named “Business of the Quarter” by a local workforce development organization that recognizes our efforts to provide work experience and community outreach throughout Davidson County in North Carolina.

Xceldyne-Award

Xceldyne was named the top business for the fourth quarter by DavidsonWorks, a partnership of private and public resources delivering workforce development solutions and improvements for individuals and businesses within the county. The organization’s goal is to stimulate economic growth by providing a skilled workforce that exceeds business needs for the foreseeable future.

Criteria for the award were developed by the JobLink Business Solutions Team, which is made up of DavidsonWorks, Davidson County Community College, the NC Division of Employment Security and the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Xceldyne was recognized as a business that acts as an ambassador for other businesses in our area, promoting our experience and success in providing a better outlook for local manufacturers. Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, we demonstrated a commitment to become even more involved with the community through the Chamber of Commerce and sponsorships of lunch and learn events, as well as business roundtable discussions.

In recent months, we’ve also served as a work experience site for a community college student studying administration, and we participated in a customized training program offered through Davidson County Community College. In addition, we worked with DavidsonWorks on its on-the-job training program. Continue reading

CV Products will have a trackside vehicle at every ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards

With a slogan that reads “Everything Racing,” it should come as no surprise that CV Products has received a three-year extension of its Professional Race Services (PRS) contract with the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). Our president, Jim Zoretich, just announced the agreement, which now runs through the 2015 racing season.

What this accord means to CV Products is that we’ll be continuing our support of ARCA as a Performance Partner sponsor and — as has been the case for the past three years —we’ll continue to serve as the exclusive trackside sales and service performance parts retailer.

In order to extend our involvement with the ARCA Racing Series through 2015, we’ll be expanding our company’s presence trackside, supporting racers across the country. For example, we’ll have a trackside vehicle at each and every ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and we’ll be enhancing at-track opportunities for ARCA’s Performance Partner Sponsors.

With our attention solidly focused on the performance and motorsports industry, you can count on CV Products to continue to involve our brands and personnel trackside, meaning you’ll continue to see the Continue reading

CV-CarShowTwo-dozen proud car owners have already preregistered for CV Product’s 5th Annual Car Show this Saturday, October 5, 2012, at our headquarters in Thomasville, N.C., where former NASCAR racer Richard Petty might even make a guest appearance for autographs and photos.

As in past years, proceeds from this well-attended car show benefit two very worthy children’s organizations — Victory Junction and the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma.

Victory-Junction-Pink-TruckWith temps expected to be in the 70s under cloudy skies in Thomasville, it’s looking to be a comfortable jaunt for those participating in CV Product’s 5K Walk/Run this Saturday.

So far more than 50 participants have already preregistered for the event, which will benefit Victory Junction and the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma — two organizations that have the health and welfare of children foremost in mind.

A half dozen of our own employees are penciled in for the race, including three of our accounting staff members — Denise Lanier, Belinda Conrad and Nidia Cruz. In addition, three of our warehouse team members are participating, including David Heaton, who finished fourth in last year’s event; Elliott Vickers, who took third-place honors in 2011; and Robert Peele.

The walk/run begins at 8 a.m. sharp with the pink Victory Junction truck — pictured above, donated by singer Taylor Swift — leading the pack out of the parking lot beside the football stadium at East Davidson High School. The finish line is at our headquarters at 42 Tech Blvd., and a Victory Junction camper will be on hand to hand out awards to the winners.

If you’re interested in participating, there’s Continue reading

Kids Activities PicFor a fifth consecutive year, CV Products is sponsoring a pair of events that benefit charities for which our company cares deeply. We’ll be actively participating in a 5k walk/run on Saturday, Sept. 29, beginning in the East Davidson High School parking lot in Thomasville, N.C., and then a car show the following Saturday (Oct. 6) at our own headquarters, across the street from the high school.

We’ve got more information about both events below, but first we want to introduce you to the two organizations that will benefit from these timely events. This is the 5th annual running for both the walk/run and car show, and proceeds benefit Victory Junction and The Childress Institute, two organizations that focus all of their attention on children with health care needs or youngsters who have been seriously injured and require help getting through unforeseen disabilities.

Victory-JunctionVictory Junction is an 84-acre camp for special kids with health care needs. Children who attend the camp suffer from one of two-dozen chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses, including autism, cancer, diabetes, hemophilia, sickle cell and spina bifida.

Located in Randleman, N.C., the camp has enriched the lives of more than 14,000 children and families since it’s opening in 2004. The camp and its staff provides a camping experience for children from all 50 states as well as four countries. A total of 30 hospitals work with Victory Junction — as well as thousands of volunteers — each providing exceptional care to these young campers. Continue reading
